In this project spotlight, The Flipping Co. shares the transformation of a dated and impractical laundry into a bright, functional space for a young family of five in Wattle Grove, NSW. Alongside this, we revamped their bathroom to create a cohesive design throughout their home.
Our client, a vibrant young family, needed a renovation that addressed both functionality and aesthetics. The original laundry lacked structure and practicality, so the family wanted a space that was light, bright, and offered ample storage and bench space. We began by selecting white cabinets paired with elegant gold accents, achieving a timeless and sophisticated look. These elements not only provided the necessary storage but also added a touch of luxury to the space.
Tile Selection
To enhance the aesthetic appeal, we chose textured 100x100mm handmade tiles for the splashback. These tiles added depth and created a stunning feature wall that became a focal point in the room. For the floor, we selected the beautiful pastel Heritage Aster Green encaustic-look tiles. These tiles provided a delightful contrast to the bright, light room, infusing it with a soft, welcoming vibe.
In the bathroom, we carried the gold accent theme to maintain a cohesive design throughout the home. We used Verona White Terrazzo tiles for both the floor and walls, complemented by Arctic White matt tiles on the shower wall. The combination of these tiles created a seamless, airy look that made the bathroom feel spacious and inviting. A mid-century-inspired vanity completed the look, adding a touch of vintage charm while maintaining the airy and spacious feel.
