Bathroom renovations can be challenging at the best of times, particularly when trying to design for small spaces. During a recent ensuite renovation for a young married couple, The Flipping Co employed a few simple design tricks to create a highly functional and beautiful space that the homeowners would enjoy using.
Despite an abundance of natural light, the original bathroom felt dated, dark, and cramped. To remedy this, The Flipping Co drew upon our range of modern and stylish tiles, giving the bathroom a second life.
The Flipping Co installed our best-selling Verona White 300x600 Matt Terrazzo Porcelain Tiles to finish the floor. This stone-look tile adds a brilliant natural texture to the ensuite whilst reflecting light from the window and opening the space. The decision was made to extend this tile up the shower wall to elongate the bathroom and create visual interest.
For the remaining walls, our Columbus Blanco 75x300 Gloss Tile was chosen. This range of subway tiles brings a modern simplicity to the room. The glossy finish reflects light from the window, again helping the room to feel larger and lighter.
Wooden cabinetry and brushed brass fittings add a luxurious warmth to the space and complement the other natural elements within the room.
These simple design choices and high-quality finishes helped The Flipping Co to create a practical and beautiful space for the couple to share for years to come.
