For one Sydney couple with three children, that balance was achieved perfectly in their recent renovation, which included both a main bathroom and an ensuite. The design and build team at The Flipping Co partnered with Tile Lane to bring the vision to life, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
The foundation of both spaces is the stunning Turin limestone look porcelain tile, a timeless choice that delivers the natural look of stone with the ease and durability of porcelain. Used across floors and as a feature wall tile, Turin set the tone for bathrooms that feel cohesive yet carry their own unique personalities. To balance the natural movement of the stone look of Turin and avoid the space feeling too busy, the design was paired with crisp white tiles. This softened the look and brought a sense of calm and openness to each room.
Sophisticated Ensuite with Bronze Accents
In the ensuite, the subtle veining of Turin is highlighted with warm bronze tapware. This pairing brings a sense of understated luxury, elevating the natural tones of the tile while creating a calming retreat for the parents. The consistent use of Turin across floors and walls ties the design together, ensuring the space feels sophisticated yet serene.
Family-Friendly Main Bathroom
For the children’s bathroom, a more neutral palette was chosen. Here, brushed brass tapware introduces a soft warmth that works seamlessly with Turin’s cool grey hues. The result is a bathroom that feels practical for everyday family life, while still carrying a sense of style and refinement.
Functionality was also front of mind. With the children now older, the bathtub was removed to create a more generous shower area. Extending Turin tiles across the walls enhanced the sense of space and continuity, while also keeping cleaning and maintenance simple — a win for busy parents.

Though different in mood, both bathrooms share a common thread: the elegance of Turin. Its versatile design language makes it adaptable to both warm and cool finishes, proving it to be the hero of this renovation.
